TUMPAT, March 19 — The Department of National Unity and National Integration (JPNIN) has identified nearly 200 Unity Nursery and Daycare Centres nationwide requiring repairs this year.

Director-General Datuk Che Roslan Che Daud said the department will utilize RM5 million from Budget 2025 for these repairs, addressing issues such as structural damage.

“These centres vary in facility standards—some are rented, some self-built. JPNIN will conduct on-site inspections to assess necessary repairs and ensure a conducive learning environment,” he said during the Santuni MADANI Programme in Kampung Baru Pasir Pekan.

He added that each state has around 10 to 15 centres in need, with 12 in Kelantan requiring urgent repairs.

At the event, Che Roslan also presented donations to orphans and distributed Rahmah baskets to the asnaf group. — Bernama
